About Kelly Kettle Ultimate Kits
This Ultimate Stainless 'Scout' Kit includes the Scout Kettle, Storage Bag, Cook set, Kelly Kettle Pot Support, 2 Stainless Steel Camping Cups, 2 Stainless Steel Camping Plates and large Hobo Stove.
The Scout kettle boils approximately 41 oz of water at a time, within just a matter of minutes. That’s about seven 6 oz. mugs of water for camp coffee, tea or hot cocoa. The best camping kettle for small groups, base camping, family camping, hunting, fishing, scouting, car camping, picnics, outdoor education. Scout kettles are ideal for anyone working in the forests or the great outdoors.
Introducing a Camping Kettle with Whistle
A green whistle has replaced the orange stopper on the Kettles and will sound a nice loud whistle to let you know when the water has boiled. Older Kelly Kettles may have an Orange Rubber or Cork Stopper. These MUST ALWAYS be removed before using the kettle. The Kettle must never be boiled with these older stoppers in the spout, but the new camping kettle with whistle can be left in while the water is boiling.
Best Camping Kettle in Bad Weather
All Kelly Kettle products are the best kettle for camping as they work extremely well in stormy weather conditions. They are a vital piece of camping equipment for any outdoor adventure. Extremely dependable as they have no moving parts to fail or break.
Burn All Natural Fuel
Never pack fuel again and save money. Kelly Kettles are cost free to run and eco-friendly, as they use all natural fuel such as twigs, dry grass, heather, birch bark, pine cones, dry animal dung, etc. Remember: The Kettle has been designed to boil water extremely fast in all weather conditions using very little fuel. When filled with water, the Kelly Kettle should always be carried upright to avoid any spillage/leakage from the water spout or chimney top.
Kelly Kettle users have described their kettles as the “Greatest Invention of all Time”.
The fire base inverts up into the bottom of the Kettle to make the unit as compact as possible for transporting and storage.

I have a gaggle of stoves from the entire price range; this is not 100% practical, (heavy) but by far the most enjoyable. I was REALLY surprised at just how little fuel you need to cook and boil. Also I love the comfort and ambiance of the small fire.
My favorite thing about the Kelly Kettle is ZERO cost of ownership and no waste at all. I came to the realization that gas stoves will cost you money for as long as you own them. Now, I never have to buy fuel again and I'm not putting a mountain of empty canisters in the local landfill. That is at least three different kinds of bad for the environment. I feel better about spending my time in the great outdoors.
Here is my one dislike. The carrying bag is beyond flimsy. It didn't survive it's first trip out of the yard. I loaded up my gear drove an hour out, an hour back and, by the time I got home there were seventeen holes in the bag. If you can't carry the kit... It's not very useful, is it?
I wish they would have made it out of a good, thick, canvas. Or at least offer a canvas bag separately. Maybe I can make a new bag out of an old pants leg or something.
Also I would suggest getting a pocket bellows. If Kelly Kettle sold them in the store I would have bought one for sure. And you should definitely get the orange bung (yes I said bung) for canteen usage.
Bottom line... I would 100% recommend this kit. Just have to find a good bag. Maybe one with a shoulder strap.
HAPPY OUTDOORSING EVERYBODY!

When I got home I took the Kelly Kettle out to my outdoor cooking area to test it. (I'm writing this in December and the yard is full of snow with 20 degree F temp. = -6.667 C) I swiped some coconut fiber from one of the wife's pots and snapped some dry twigs from the bottom of the blue spruce. With this, I kindled a small fire and put on a kettle of water. In no time there was a vortex of flame in the unit. I dropped in a chunk of natural lump charcoal from my smoker. As expected, the swirling twig flames produced a faster burn, but the charcoal readily lit and proved the potential for a cook fire after boiling water, which happened quickly.
So, what to do with this "gadget" when not camping? It will find a place to live in my pick-up truck along with my fly fishing gear and a stash of tea. I believe in roughing it smoothly, with minimal impact, and little trace that I've been around. The Kelly Kettle fits that ideal. (Posted on 11/2/2017) - I couldn't be happier with my Kelly Kettle and will be bringing it on future expeditions.

We needed a stove which could boil lots of water efficiently without burning up several bottles of hard to find liquid fuel over the weeks we paddled down the river. Kelly Kettle offered the perfect solution, an efficient burning wood stove which is excellent at boiling quantities of water as well as for cooking on. We even used our Medium Stainless Kettle with a Power Pot to keep an iPad and speaker charged for teaching classes and since the Kelly Kettle burns wood, we essentially had an unlimited supply of electricity.
We burned lots of fuel types like bamboo, leaves, bushes, drift wood, bark, and more. We almost always had a good fuel source to burn but for the few cases when we camped on a sandy island with no wood, we used an alcohol burner as a backup which works well to boil water in the kettle or cook on using only the fire base.
I couldn't be happier with my Kelly Kettle and will be bringing it on future expeditions. (Posted on 11/2/2017) - Serious must have!

The design is so simple and yet so effective - if it can burn you have fuel for a brew!
it really is that simple!
So many times I used to faff around with gas refills that hated cold weather (and wind!) the Kelly Kettle laughs in the face of a windy day and boils even faster!!! all I ever need with me is a bit of dry tinder - which compared to gas bottles is an absolute space and weight saver!
Using it at the beach was a doddle for a picnic - dry driftwood, seagrass, buckthorn and seaweed all burnt perfectly, Just the right size for 2 people to have a brew and some pasta. This cooking system is perfect! (Posted on 11/2/2017) - excellent product with ingenious system
